Hundreds of thousands gather in Paris to celebrate New Year's Day

An enormous crowd stretched from the Arc de Triomphe along the Champ_Elysees. Spectators packed into one of France's iconic tourist sites gazing at fireworks and a laser light show as 2026 began.
