March 3, 2014 — -- Sunday night's 86th Oscars left everyone with a smile on their faces.

Ellen DeGeneres was the perfect host for a feel-good night that included her literally ordering pizza for the likes of Julia Roberts and Martin Scorsese, as well as taking record-breaking selfies with Brad Pitt and Meryl Streep that shut down Twitter for a few minutes during the show.

Matthew McConaughey, who won Best Actor, snuck in an "All right, all right, all right" at the end of a speech where the "Dallas Buyers Club" star gave an amazing tribute to his father and family.

"To my family, that's what I look forward to," he said. "To my father, up there [in Heaven] with big pot of gumbo, he's got a cold can of Miller Lite and he's dancing ... to my mother who's here tonight, she demanded we respect ourselves."

McConaughey also thanked his wife Camila Alves and their children Livingston, Levi and Vida, and how the courage they give him when he steps out the house everyday means the world to the actor.

Cate Blanchett won Best Actress, while Jared Leto also won for Best Supporting Actor for his role in "Dallas Buyers Club." Leto wowed everyone with his dedication to his mother Constance, who was his date.

"In 1971, there was a teenage girl, who was pregnant with her second child," he said. "She was a high school dropout and single mom, but somehow she managed to make a better life for herself and her children ... That girl is my mother and she's here tonight. I just want to say I love you mom, thank you for teaching me to dream."

Finally "12 Years a Slave" won its share of the awards, taking home Best Picture and Best Supporting Actress for Lupita Nyong'o.

"It doesn't escape me for one moment that so much joy in my life is thanks to so much pain in someone else's," she said. "Steve McQueen, you charge everything you fashion with a breath of your own spirit, thank you so much for putting me in this position. It has been the joy of my life."
