'Thunderbolts*' star Florence Pugh talks jumping off 2nd-tallest building in world
"Thunderbolts*" star Florence Pugh is opening up about a stunt she performed for the new Marvel film that is quickly becoming one of the buzziest storylines from the action-packed movie.
In one scene, featured prominently in the "Thunderbolts*" trailer, Pugh's character, antihero Yelena Belova, jumps off the Merdeka, the second-tallest building in the world, located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

When asked about the heart-stopping stunt on "Good Morning America," Pugh admitted she was scared to pull it off.
"Of course I was! I mean, I'm crazy, but I'm not that crazy," Pugh said. "Yeah, it was terrifying, but I think that knowing that I could control my mind in that way was scarier -- like, knowing that I was able to do that nine times and really keep my breathing calm and my head calm was like, 'Oh that's worrying!'"

"I could persuade myself to do anything," Pugh added with a laugh.
Pugh's stunt is the focus of Marvel's featurette "The Jump." In the behind-the-scenes video, Pugh said she was game to give the stunt a try, especially since she said she loves heights.
"I've been excited about this since I read the first page of the script," Pugh says in the featurette.
"Thunderbolts*" director Jake Schreier said Pugh and the production team managed to pull off the stunt, even though Marvel's parent company Disney initially pushed back on it.
"It's only 'cause she believed in it so much," Schreier said. "She took it upon herself to elevate it because she trusts our amazing team."
Marvel Studios' "Thunderbolts*," starring Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and more, is out May 2 in theaters.
Disney is the parent company of Marvel and ABC News.
