Taylor Swift's new music is here.

The singer released four new songs on Friday as an "encore" addition to her record-setting album "The Life of a Showgirl."

The newly released songs include "Patient Zero," "Babylon," Cleveland!" and "Pink Clouding."

The songs are Swift's first new music since she wed NFL star Travis Kelce in July.

In announcing the new music earlier this week, Swift told fans the songs were "born out of pure gratitude for your exuberance for and celebration of the album we made," referring to "The Life of a Showgirl."

Below, get to know the new "The Life Of A Showgirl: The Encore" bonus tracks.

What to know about 'Patient Zero'

"Patient Zero" was the first new song Swift announced earlier this week. In an Instagram post at the time, she wrote that she had been "impatiently waiting" to tell her fans that her new single was coming.

The new song begins with the chorus: "If you wanna party with somebody who might know / About the devil on his shoulder under his halo / When the toxins take their hold, you'd rather die than let it go / But if you're sick of him, I got you, I was patient zero."

In an interview with the U.K.'s Capital FM on Friday, Swift said that the inspiration for the song came from one of her friends.

"I was hanging out with a bunch of friends, and one of my friends told us that she had been reached out to by the new girlfriend of an ex of hers, asking for guidance on if she had had the same experiences with this guy," she said.

She continued, "Everyone in our group just immediately started saying like, 'Oh, I've been through that too', and telling the stories of when this kind of reach out had happened for them."

The music video for "Patient Zero" will be unveiled during the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, where Swift is nominated for nine awards and will be honored with the inaugural MTV VMA Artist Director Honors award.

Is 'Cleveland!' about Travis Kelce?

Among the new songs Swift released Friday is the track "Cleveland!", which appears to be partly about her husband, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

"Cleveland!" includes several references to Kelce, including nods to his "New Heights" podcast, his Ohio roots and his upbringing in Cleveland Heights.

The song also appears to reference the pair's July wedding.

"Something we all can agree on (I guess we agree, but) / But my baby likes what he likes, oh-whoah, oh-oh / He already took me to Cleveland (To Cleveland)," Swift sings. "Now I'm wearing white (Yeah), so hate all you like (Uh-huh) / This is the love of my life (Hey, hey, hey)."

What does 'Pink Clouding' mean?

Another song Swift released Friday is "Pink Clouding."

According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, or SAMHSA, "pink clouding" or the "pink cloud stage" is an early addiction recovery stage in which a person experiences intense feelings of euphoria, "increased energy and optimism," and "overconfidence" about their recovery.

During this stage, which typically lasts about four weeks, according to SAMHSA, a person begins to feel "much better and start[s] to think that their problems with substances are solved."

In her song, Swift sings about being caught up in the euphoria of a new relationship, but underneath that happiness, she recognizes she wasn't emotionally present or ready for the relationship. The rest of the song sees her reflecting on how the other person treated her well, but she may have hurt them or failed to appreciate them.

"But I was pink (Pink) clouding from the thrill of it (Ha, ha, ha) / Skydiving as you wrapped your arms around my body / Gray (Gray) rockin' where the arrow hit (Ha, ha, ha)," she sings. "Years later, I still wonder how to tell you sorry / I didn't wanna let you down (Pink cloud, pink cloud) / So I left you up there on a pink cloud (Pink cloud)."

How did Swift previously reference 'Babylon'?

"Babylon" is featured as the last song on "Encore."

Swifties online were quick to point out that the ancient city was previously referenced in two of the singer's past songs, "Cowboy Like Me" from her 2020 album "Evermore" and Gracie Abrams' 2024 song "Us," which Swift co-wrote.

"Babylon" appears to tell the story of someone who leaves home in pursuit of freedom and success, only to later long for what they left behind.

In the "Babylon" chorus, Swift sings, "And you hate this song / But you wake up on the train with your headphones gone / Then that melody is all you want / You never knew that it was Babylon / 'Til it was gone."

How the four new songs came to be

Swift's 12th album, "The Life of a Showgirl," was first released on Oct. 3, 2025, and set a record as the biggest album debut in history, with more than 4 million equivalent album units sold in the U.S. alone in the first week.

"The Life of a Showgirl" was also 2025's top-selling album, according to Billboard.

Swift collaborated on the album with producers Max Martin and Shellback, with whom she previously collaborated on "Shake It Off" and "Blank Space" from her 2014 album "1989."

In an Sept. 23 Instagram post, Swift wrote that following the release of "The Life of a Showgirl," she took a trip to Sweden to celebrate with Martin and Shellback.

"Really we just wanted to reflect and take in how grateful we were for the moment we were in, but there was a studio there and we did what we do when we feel anything at all: We wrote more songs," she wrote.

The four new songs on "The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore" follow the release of "I Knew It, I Knew You," which Swift released earlier this year for Disney and Pixar's animated film "Toy Story 5."
