Prince Harry, Meghan Markle hold 1st joint engagement since return to UK
Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, stepped out Thursday for their first joint engagement since moving back to the United Kingdom in August.
Harry and Meghan spent time visiting three charities supporting children, young people and families in Nottingham, England, located around 120 miles north of London.
Upon their arrival, the couple stopped to greet excited fans, several of whom had brought them flowers.

Nottingham holds special significance for the couple as it was also where they attended their first official event as a newly engaged couple in 2017.
Since that visit and their royal wedding in 2018, Harry and Meghan's lives have changed significantly.
The couple, now the parents of two children, Archie and Lilibet, stepped away from their senior royal roles in 2020. That same year, they moved to California, where they lived until their return to the U.K. in late August.
Since moving back to the U.K., Harry and Meghan have remained "private citizens" and are not working royals, a status reiterated in a letter released in September by the Royal Household under the direction of Harry's father, King Charles III.
While Harry has appeared publicly at official engagements since the Sussexes' return, Thursday's engagements are a first for Meghan.
The duchess was seen publicly for the first time in London late last week visiting with activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai.
Previously, Meghan had only been seen in the U.K. in glimpses of the family's life she has shared on social media.
Meghan and Harry have not shared publicly where in the U.K. they are living, nor where Archie and Lilibet are enrolled in school.
