Man arrested on suspicion of burglary at Kim Kardashian's home
A 27-year-old man was arrested Sunday at Kim Kardashian's Hidden Hills, California, home on suspicion of burglary, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Authorities said deputies responded to the property after 4 p.m. following a report from a security guard of a break-in. They said the investigation remains ongoing.
Kardashian and her family have reportedly been staying at a rental property while their Hidden Hills home undergoes renovations.
Kardashian shares four children with her ex-husband, rapper and songwriter Ye.
Kardashian, a prominent TV personality and entrepreneur, has been the target of a robbery before. Five armed and masked men, posing as police officers, allegedly stormed a Parisian hotel suite she was staying in, bound and gagged her, and took off with at least $6 million of dollars of jewelry in a 2016 heist that captured headlines worldwide.
The reality TV star recalled the incident on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," saying she thought she might die, a sentiment she repeated in court last year.
"I absolutely thought that I was going to die," Kardashian said in court at the time.
Ten suspects were charged in the case and several denied being involved. Eight defendants were later found guilty of crimes linked to the robbery and two defendants were acquitted.
Investigators said they believe the thieves tracked Kardashian through social media posts, which showed her general location and photos of expensive jewelry.
Since then, Kardashian has said she has taken precautions, changing how she shares information on social media and no longer shares real-time activities and locations.
