King Charles III, Prince William attend climate event after William calls for change
King Charles III and Prince William attended a joint engagement at the Natural History Museum in London on Thursday, following William's call for change in the monarchy last week.
Charles and William attended the Countdown to COP30, which hosted influential figures in the climate space to discuss actions and priorities ahead of the COP30 Summit in Belém, Brazil, this fall.
The royal pair viewed photography by the Woodland Trust and met with business and financial leaders to discuss their progress on environmental issues in the United Kingdom and globally.
The pair also visited Hintze Hall, a famed area of the museum, to view some of the U.K.'s solutions to solving some of the world's climate issues.
Guests at the event were treated to several films highlighting the imperative nature of environmentalism.
The father-son outing comes after the release of William's episode of "The Reluctant Traveler," in which the prince, who is heir to the British throne, spoke with actor Eugene Levy about bringing change to the monarchy once he is king.
In the episode, William said he wants to make sure the monarchy changes and evolves when he becomes king.
"I think it's safe to say that change is on my agenda. Change for good, and I embrace that, and I enjoy that change. I don't fear it," William said.
He continued, "That's the bit that excites me, is the idea of being able to bring some change. Not overly radical change, but changes that I think that need to happen."
