Katy Perry stopped us in our tracks as she hit the Met Gala red carpet Monday in a 40-pound chandelier ensemble, later changing into cheeseburger chic.

The "American Idol" judge and shoe designer stopped by "Good Morning America" Wednesday where she admitted that the cheeseburger look was much easier to pull off.

"I had to really walk a straight line," Perry told "GMA" of her chandelier outfit. "I wanted to say hi to all of my friends but even if someone looked at me for long enough I would start to teeter. I was nervous I was going to timber at one point."

"It was easier to walk as a cheeseburger because it was very padded," she added.

"Someone has decided to put up with me for the rest of my life," she joked. "We're definitely enjoying the moment but I figure if I do [choose shoes] it would probably have something to do with flowers and blooming."

Perry, who in the midst of filming "American Idol" season 17, said she's enjoying her time judging the singing competition.

"I am just having such a blast mentoring these kids and supporting them and lifting them up," she said.
