Draco, Lucius Malfoy and more cast in 'Harry Potter' HBO series

More wizards and witches have joined the upcoming "Harry Potter" HBO series.

HBO has announced nine more actors joining the show, including those playing the Malfoy family members and their matriarch, Molly Weasley.

Newcomer Lox Pratt will play Draco Malfoy, while "Emma" actor Johnny Flynn has been cast as Lucius Malfoy.

Additionally, Katherine Parkinson has been cast as Molly Weasley, while "A Small Light" actress Bel Powley and "Eric & Ernie" actor Daniel Rigby have been cast as Harry's guardians Petunia and Vernon Dursley.

Rounding out the announcements are Bertie Carvel as Cornelius Fudge, while Leo Earley, Alessia Leoni and Sienna Moosah have been cast to play Hogwarts students Seamus Finnigan, Parvati Patil and Lavender Brown, respectively.

The new cast members join the previously announced golden trio of Dominic McLaughlin, Alastair Stout and Arabella Stanton, who are set to play Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.

It was also previously announced that John Lithgow will play Dumbledore, while Janet McTeer will portray Minerva McGonagall and Paapa Essiedu will portray Severus Snape.

The new "Harry Potter" series was announced in 2023, with a press release stating at the time that the show would "feature a new cast to lead a new generation of fandom, full of the fantastic detail, much loved characters and dramatic locations that Harry Potter fans have loved for over twenty-five years."

"Each season will be authentic to the original books and bring 'Harry Potter' and these incredible adventures to new audiences around the world, while the original, classic and beloved films will remain at the core of the franchise and available to watch globally," the release continued.

Multiple seasons are planned to bring all of Harry's adventures to the small screen. They will stream exclusively on HBO Max.
