Aaron Rodgers confirms marriage: 'It’s been a couple months'
Aaron Rodgers is married!
The NFL quarterback shared the news during a press conference on Tuesday after being asked about the ring on his finger.
"It's a wedding ring," he confirmed, adding that the wedding took place "a couple months" ago. However, he did not reveal any further details including the identity of his wife.
The revelation comes just days after Rodgers signed a new contract to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to ESPN.
Rumors about his marital status began circulating over the weekend when fans noticed what appeared to be a wedding ring on his left hand in a photo shared by the Steelers announcing the signing.
He was also seen wearing the band at the Barnstable Brown Derby Eve Gala, in a photo published by Louisville Courier Journal earlier in May.
ABC News has reached out to Rodgers' representative for additional comment but did not hear back immediately.
While Rodgers tends to keep his personal life private, he's previously been linked to several high-profile relationships.
In 2021, actress Shailene Woodley confirmed their engagement, which was called off in 2022, according to People. Prior to that, he dated race car driver Danica Patrick.
Before joining the Steelers, Rodgers most recently played for the New York Jets. He and the team parted ways in February.
